No formula just what I see. Have a 6 row planting 150ac of corn. I put half disconects on first year and saw a decrease in seed, then next year put electric clutches for single row control with an Integra. Not having over population in the point rows made for higher yields, and more importantly time savings from not having to stop-raise planter/markers and doing it again in reverse before starting next pass. Even with my being a STO it paid off. Maybe took longer due to my smaller acres but DID pay for itself.
