| I know a handful of guys around Churdan and heard a few weeks back about a strip till side by side vs standard broadcast P&K and NH3. Not sure if it was you or another operation in the area though. That one if I recall came across the scale (might have been a weigh wagon) and came out to less than a bushel difference between the two. As far as I’m concerned that’s a wash for both and would be considered a draw, given cost was identical.
From what I’ve heard that isn’t the case and would have been roughly 6-7 bu in favor of the Nh3 and broadcast P&K. Again, might have been someone else’s test but I would have a hard time considering that “in favor of a UreaNPK band application”. Not to mention the concerns of running urea in the fall in that area, NServe or not. Nearly every university would disagree with your program, not saying I don’t disagree with some university studies but this one seems far too risky to make a switch from old faithful NH3. | |
