nw NC | For every beef cross male calf born there will be one less Holstein bull calf, so the number of male calves available for feeders will remain the same. The number of female crossbred calves probably will not increase the total number of calves either, because they will be taking the place of some Holstein bull calves that will never be born because of sexed semen used on the other percentage of Holstein cows.
Whether or not there are repercussions...... I do not know.
