Pantry? Lazy Susans? Drawer units? Rolling shelves? Species of wood? Full depth shelves? Interior accessories (and there's a lot of them available)? A true island, or do you mean a peninsula?
There isn't a common price per foot, mainly because of the questions I pointed out.
There are a lot of things that need to be considered, and you should really consult a local kitchen designer to help you lay it out. They have experience and training to help you get a kitchen that is functional, convenient, and efficient.
And, FWIW, get your cabinets from the designer's establishment. Most local lumberyards (NOT big box stores) that sell cabinetry have someone on hand, or a manufacturer's rep, that has experience laying out a proper kitchen.
The lumberyard or kitchen center will probably cost more than the big box stores, but they have better quality cabinetry, know how, and they'll still be carrying the same brand of cabinets next year.
