When replacing the windows make sure standard sized cabinets will work. If you get them from Menards any cabinets custom made to fit will cost you dearly. Planning carefully can save you quite a bit. We got our cabinets from Menards, ordered a better grade that have 3/4" plywood sides, dove tail drawers and 3/4" thick shelves. We had lots of problems such as: One base cabinet didnt have a toe kick, had to order one cabinet 3 times before they got it right because of minor things like being maple instead of oak, wrong style drawers and the 3rd one came with custom vents complements of pallet forks! Also the employee who designed and ordered the cabinets screwed up and the countertop was 3" longer than the cabinets and the sink cutout was wrong. Very frustrating experience but when we got all done it looks great. Best of luck with your remodeling:).
