Subject: RE: Opinions on auto shift in semi

North East Wimmera district of Victoria.

I'm 74!

Driven Fuller Road rangers for 30 years.

The clutch is only for getting moving from stationary - from then on it is easy!

Ease the 'loud pedal', shift the stick to neutral, and as engine revs drop, slip into the next gear at whatever revs are appropriate.

Changing down, same apart from a 'blip' on the throttle to get the revs up, slip into the next lower gear no problems!

Who needs Auto shift?

[and if someone is sexist enough to mention the fairer sex - I know lots who drive them exactly the same, and bogie drive 45T. semi's to boot!]
