SEON
Of course buyer chooses. I never said otherwise but like I said.....that owner can’t shift (because of his knees).

By the way, that owner never got his bad knees from shifting a truck as lots of people like to claim. I don’t give a hoot what people drive......not sure where that’s coming from......but they do like to rationalize why their buying an auto.....shifts smoother, more efficient blah blah but none of that is true. The truck I'm driving for 900 miles this week is 20 yrs old with 1.4 million miles on the chassis and it shifts like new. Never had any transmission work and has never had any clutch work (as far as I know.......we bought it in 2007 when it was 9 yrs old). Try that with an automatic.

The Thread starter asked a question. At the end of the day there is only one reason to want an auto and that is so the driver doesn’t have to shift. I don’t know any other reason for willingly handing over control of your grain transportation to a computer.
