Central Illinois
With all else being equal, I would pay gladly pay $10K to have three phase for the long haul.

There are a few things to also consider: Is $10K the total cost to bring it to the farm (it can be very expensive to have it brought in)? Is it the same monthly fee and does it cost the same per kwh?

On the plus side three phase just works better for motors (especially large) because of simplicity. If it is only $10K with no additional expenses then I believe that would be a bargain.
