Wish we could get 3ph in that cheap. Electrician kept telling us for years not to put 3 ph in. Currently have a 167 kvw 1ph transformer, biggest our utlity company has. We're needing to go a bigger motor on the auger on the hopper bin to the Top Dry. Electrician said 10 hp was enough, currently running a 15 & still having issues keeping TD full. Talked to GSI & they say need 25hp. Also would like to eventually would like replace auger with leg, that requires 25hp. 10hp on TD unload auger needs to be bigger as well.

Power company wants $20,000 to run 3ph back to bins, about 400' max'. Looked into a phase converter to run 25 jp 3 ph motor, that was almost $25,000 & will only handle one motor, need to handle at least two, 25hp & 15hp. Still sol on adding anything else. Going to bite the bullet & put 3ph in next summer. Would have been a lot cheaper 10 years ago when the utility co wanted us to put it in.

FWIW, we now have a new electrician.
