Started a pivot running dry once to move it to work ground under where it was parked. Forgot it was running when we left the field.
Found it the next morning tower climbed up the harrow of the Sunflower field cultivator misaligned. 30’ either way and the pivot would have hit the tractor.
That's happened to more than a few people, and why one of the few rules around here is no parking anything, anytime for any reason in a pivot track.
At least pivots leave a trail to mark where they go, and usually they stick to it. Linears can be found anywhere. |
