south dakota | Not something i left running but a few years back had a old no cab payloader that night had a good storm full of lighting. We went out that morning could hear something running after a bit of looking around found the payloader running. Upon further investigation realized it had been struck by lighting which somehow started the machine. There was a engine water hose that ran underneath the motor that had melted halfway and you could see where the rubber had dripped onto the ground. Just got lucky i guess that the hose did not melt all the way thru or would have ruined motor. | |
