Southeast Colorado
I've got a 230 acre and a 120 acre field with half planted every 30" and the other half planted with a plant two skip one pattern. We've been pretty dry this year (5" of rain) but started with good subsoil moisture. I'm looking forward to the results and see how this compares. Population is only at 12k but that is a normal dryland rate here. 100 bpa is a home run. If the skip row doesn't perform then I'm probably done trying that system. According to all of the theories about skipping rows...............the situation this year should be ideal for skipping.
