WC Mn/Dakotas
I log my paths and mark my sampling points with a garmun glo gps. So that puts me within 10ft or less of previous years spot. From flagging a few points, it gets me less than 5ft. Then i take 2-4 cores from between the rows moving perpendicular to direction of farmwork.

I dont know that coming back to within an inch is any real advantage. It wouldnt hurt, but in reality how many guys could drive and put a probe that accurately. How many would take the time to adjust? There are enough reasons i run in to each year that u purposefully move a few feet sometimes (planter skip, mud, weeds)
