Subject: Fixed my UPS problem

Chebanse, IL.....

I told my computer guru here about my UPS problem that I outlined in a post below. He said the only UPS he has luck with is the APC 1300. He said he KNOWS it will work w/the computer he built for me.

I went to BestBuy & got the APC 1300. Plugged it in & charged it 24 hrs. Plugged computer in to it & then plugged & UNplugged UPS from the wall. Computer stayed on & never flinched.

APC 1300 seems to be a good UPS. Certainly better than the Belkin that was letting me down.

Also, as a side note. I had looked up this ups on the BestBuy website before going to the local BB store. However, price was higher in store. I asked if they didn't honor the internet price, or was I going to have to order it & have it sent to my house, thus not giving the store the sale credit? Consultation of 2 or 3 sales/mgr folks gave me the internet price. That was good. Seems stupid to me that there would be 2 different prices. I'm sure any store realizes that IF you walk out of there with nothing, there's a chance they will lose the sale altogether, meaning the company itself.
