Are you wanting to put infloor heat in the cement and finish it for the floor ? If so I think you will need to make sure the crawl space walls are insulated to below the frost line first which might be a challenge to do .



The house is old but solid. what happens if it doesn't get insulated below the frost line? I doubt the footings are 6 feet deep, but could be wrong. Would it work by basically doing a thickened edge slab, with poly insulation between the cement and interior side of footing that is above ground? Lots of rebar?
