As a small farmer watching bin sites being erected around me larger than the local coops, I think I finally understand the real value. As a large farmer walks around these bohemoth bins with his lender/banker claiming x amount of bushels, saying" yep this one's 3/4 full, this one over here is plum full, and a few over there are about half full." The value in "about this full" can equal hundreds of thousands of fake value. How many of these farm credit guys actually climb to the top of these 100,000 bu bins. It's pretty easy to look at my small set up and coop storage receipts to see what us small guys have.

they only fool themselves when the bank wants x amount of money by x date, and there is no rally between the assessment date and check due date.

built bins in 2010-2014 when people said we were stupid because "why would you build a bing when it's $7 plus off the combine?"

can sit back and watch guys try and put up bins now with bushels standing in the field ....
