You can for sure. There are other ways to market grain without bins.

For the record, I think bins are worth the money and an important tool in a farm operation, but when guys say the can 'get 0.40 more for 6 months storage, its a no brainer!' they are farming gross dollars. On corn right now the money will cost you at least 0.10. Electricity 0.05, extra time and handling 0.05-0.10 (depends on bin size) vs leaving it on the truck off the combine. Then pay yourself 0.10 for bin rent to cover wear and tear, taxes and depreciation.

A 0.40 carry for 6 months in this situation leaves you a whopping 0.05-0.10 a bushel. And you have the risk of damage and over drying the bottom 1/3.

Again I am not anti bins, but it ain't all roses if a guy is honest with himself.
