West Central Iowa | I also have never understood the huge auger and flighting on the 800 and later series. If the large auger is so much help, why doesn't any other manufacturer use one this size? They always said the larger flighting was an advantage because it was closer to the cutterbar and would feed better. I actually measured the distance from the flighting on an 800 and 500 series auger flighting sitting on the same lot. I was surprised to discover the 500 flighting was actually the same distance or maybe even a little closer to the cutterbar than the 800. | |
