That's too bad. No I don't know JW personally. I happened to buy an 8000 head two years ago that had the JW skid shoes on. They do make a difference.
The market has likely moved on from flex heads I guess and that's why he has not made them again. The Ontario market was small to begin with now with drapers outselling flex heads it likely won't be back.
