Buy a 9250 or a 8200 auger head. You'd be hard pressed to find many people that would say a Hydraflex is a good head. There's reasons people pay 3-4 times the money for a flex draper.
8200 heads were good. 35' available also. Tall flighting and a full finger auger. Good SCH knife drive also. i had decent luck with 800 heads but it sounds like you didn't.
