You mention your planter has shaft/chain drive. I'm assuming that means it's not a hydraulic drive? With that assumption the planter will have to be "in the dirt" a good 30' to refill your disks (depending on planting population) maybe less. Will all your fields allow this? If you've got multiple hydraulic drive perhaps you could control the different motors - larger section control than you want perhaps.
Possible alternative to Tru-Count or Row Command...
