SCMN | Im looking at planter section control for next year. We won't be buying a new planter so Row Command won't be an option. I priced air clutches from Tru-Count and it'll be about 6K for what I want to do. We run a JD 1770NT 16R30 with shaft/chain drive. What's stopping me from buying some inexpensive valves that I could plumb into the vacuum line at each row unit and just shut off the vacuum to the seed disk? I could then use EZ Boom or Swath Control to control them after a bit of wiring. Has anyones done something like this? I don't know why it wouldn't work. Any thoughts?
