Some great responses so far. We tried to grow most of the cover crop seed we needed, whether it be rye, radish, whatever. Another advantage to growing your own rye that wasn't mentioned is variety selection. We found a variety we really liked for cover cropping, and there was no way to be able to reliably buy that variety every year. Growing our own solved that problem.
