That was always the saying: Go9od wheat, ppor clover: poor wheat, good clover. But that's by far not always true around here. There are some great wheat yields in this area, 120 bu+ and still have a nice clover stand.
Might be a KS vs Ontario thing as to the disparity of our observations. Our wheat grows all winter usually, and often gets rather big in the fall already (we prefer that it does). Maybe if we could get the clover established in the fall instead of the winter it wouldn't die out. |
