Sw Ontario | That was always the saying: Go9od wheat, ppor clover: poor wheat, good clover. But that's by far not always true around here. There are some great wheat yields in this area, 120 bu+ and still have a nice clover stand.
The problem with clover is to get enough plants established evenly across the field.
You don't want it to thick because then it might compete with the wheat.
Therefor, I'm looking for a better way to get the result I like and was thinking if you spread it in the fall you might have a better emerge in the spring.
Key also is to spread it evenly which is hard with a little spinner on a 4wheeler.
I have an idea about that too to try. | |
