Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | The Insight needs the GGA and VTG messages ON. This may be your problem. There is a screen where you can literally see the GPS messages coming in. There should be a PAUSE button that will allow you to freeze them so you can read them. Check to see that both the GGA and VTG messages are present. If not there should be a way to turn them ON.
The procedure for getting them ON will vary depending on the GPS that you are using. Sounds as if you are using a Trimble Smart Antenna where the GPS and antenna are all in one fixture on top of the cab. If so, you should be able to have the Insight set those output strings if they are incorrect.
