Paint it with Kilz Max. That enzyme stuff mentioned above will help, but Kilz will block it off...


+1 on the Kilz paint. That's what I used on the AZ house that had 3 big dogs in it. My wife didn't want to buy it, it was so bad. I tore out the carpet and bleached the concrete under it but the odor remained. After the Kilz paint, we recapeted and had the ducts cleaned. There was still a little odor after it sat 6 months while we were in IA. After living in it a few weeks the odor was gone and now we never notice it when we go back.
