West Central IL
Vinegar breaks down the enzymes in pet urine. I had a dog that got diabetes real bad before she passed away. Had a mess in the house for a week as she would not make it to her pee pads anymore. We had to put her down. Vinegar completly eliminated the smell. Took a couple of cleanings to get it all, this was on hardwood floors.
