I did try to find a D6D serial number, then a 3306 PC serial number prefix, then I tried the CAT factory website on that s/n prefix , but it came up with a 3306 direct injection engine spec.(thus, no good) My quess is that would have to be looked up by a heavy equipment mechanic using the old microfiche. I don't work beside the heavy equipment personnel(down the street 1/2 mile away). You will probably need to know your serial number, too. On this post, I just gave a very common "Performance Spec" that I knew was common for a 425 HP truck engine around that year. | |
