Southwest Missouri | But, I have an 89 Freightliner with that engine. It is also rated 425 hp. When pulling hard at 1500 rpm or better, it has 22.5 pounds of boost.
My fuel pressure gauge does not move depending on the load. It pretty much stays the same. The only time it really changes is when the filter is getting plugged and time to change it.
I don't really run the pyrometer too high too long, but it seems 1100 is the max I have observed.
Hope this helps. | |
