Specs for 425 hp @ 2100 are 17.4 psi boost and 784 degrees F on pyro. [1800 rpm =19.0 psi boost and 823 degrees F on pyro.] 1600 rpm =19.3 psi boost and 865 degrees F on pyro. (1400 rpm =17.9 psi boost and 941 degrees F on pyro. {using very common 425 HP Specs=0T7799} Note: 20 psi fuel pressure (under load) is considered minimun spec. Cheap method for testing air to air core is to buy pvc caps(threaded) and the correct size adapter to fit the hoses. Tap in one air fitting into one cap, put caps onto air to air hoses, USE AIR REGULATOR, and don't go above 10-12 psi OR the pvc "plugs" will blow out WITH a lot of force. Seen a broken windshield at 20-25 psi !!! 10 psi is fine to listen for leaks. Usual cracks are at the welds between air to air core/fins and end tanks. Lot of guys go one full turn out on each fuel screw and just as many go two full turns out on each fuel screw(back them outerward{loosen} for more power). As one poster mentioned ,it maybe time to have your plungers and barrels "lapped" in the fuel injection pump also. A good CAT mechanic can listen to the engine sound as it revs up quickly(freewheeling) and know if the Plungers and Barrels need to be lapped. The sound won't be sharp and crisp at the beginning of accelaration, that's the clue. Probably need a guy at least 35 years old or more for that experience in these engines from 1984 to 1995 range.
