Uncles had a little Ford tractor, like an 8 n or something back in the day after haveing a D jd....... then back to all JD the rest of their lives ending witha 4955 or 4960.In all those years they had almost everything except what JD didnt make in the color of green.John deere grill, JD lawnmowers, john deere moisture testers, john deere toys on display, JD this and JD that...even had a JD dinner bell.....
What they didnt have that was green were things like New holland bale wagon, Rock windrowers, reel type rock picker(yellow) ect Funny part was they bought a used vibra shank IH cultivator and said it was the first off color machine they had in decades, but they got it because they were sick of the poor design JD used on feild cultivators up into the 70's. Yet they still told everyone JD made the best of everything.I could never keepa straight face even though I liked quite a bit of JD stuff, but other companies make good stuff too and we are VERY COLORBLIND here on our farm(blind to rust too). |
