I might look at Deere's 5000E series (5075E, 5083E, 5101E, etc.).

They'll have enough capacity to lift the bales. They'll have enough motor to run the batwing bush hog.

However, by being on a smaller framed tractor, the hydraulic connections may be lower for him. The connections may be chest high instead of shoulder high.

Also, for a few hundred dollars in hoses and fittings, you could fab up a bracket to hold the hydraulic connections at a lower spot on the rear of tractor. A plate with four holes in it, four new quick couplers, hoses, adapters, etc. Be real choosy where to mount it.
