I must be the exception to the rule. I have a metal plate in my right forearm- been there since October 1996. Have never had an issue yet. Dr wanted to remove it back then, told him I didn't have time, with sports during school year and with farm in the summer. Haven't ever thought for a second I should get it removed. I'll consider myself lucky!
