Southeast Colorado | Whatever you decide to do start out simple so that it will get done. Then get fancier as you feel the need to have more information. Back in my early years when I was financed by FSA (or whatever they were called back then) we were forced to take a college taught ag management class. The accounting system they taught was very complex for farmers (probably not for accountants). We spent our first decade in accounting disarray before giving up and just moving to paper accounting. We may be the only ones not keeping farm records on a computer but all of the bankers I've had have always been impressed with my work.........including the one I just went to visit a few days ago. | |
