As Chad said, it comes from the U of MN's FINBIN database of actual farm results. Usually generated by farm bankers in MN, ND, SD, IA, WI, and some others.
A 2,200+ farm sample size should be a statistically significant sample size for corn/bean/wheat farms across the US.
I wasn't trying to question the legitimacy of the chart. I don't doubt it's accurate and find it pretty interesting. I was just wondering if the software you sell produced information that made it possible to create that chart.
