thanks hayburner - that is exactly what was concerned about. my computer went wonky again this morning and i downloaded a driver fixer tool from Dell and it seems to have fixed it - for now. i know it is just a question of time before the whole thing dies.

what do you think of Windows Vista? i heard it is pretty awful but i saw a commercial that says it is great now. i don't kwo what to believe?
