I would like to use GPS data from my Beeline Arro in my JD GREENSTAR display for yield monitoring.

Subject: RTS/CTS

Excellent point about the RTS/CTS setting. Some receivers have this option available in their menu system or can be changed from an external program on a PC. The receivers that I have seen default to OFF so I haven't been concerned about changing the value.

In the case of the Beeline GPS, it may default to ON which might explain the whole situation. The receiver checks for the presence of a compatible device at startup and having found one starts sending GPS out. That may explain why it seems to work when hooked up to a PC and then hot swapped to the Greenstar.

I have seen other cables where the CTS/RTS lines are tied to other lines to simulate this situation.
