Yeah right, quantity demanded has nothing to do with price. He's correct, conserving, ie lowering the quantity demanded, will bring the price down and lengthen the life of our finite supply. The price of gas must not be to high because no one wants to use less (yet). Funny how capitalism is fine until it doesnt work in our favor. How about the speach saying this, Lets rebuild our once great rail system, like we did our airports and highways with federal dollars,creating millions of good jobs and get off this great dependence on trucks that waste so many resources and fuel. And lets let those who buy high fuel economy vehicles have a tax credit while simutaneously raising taxes on the Yukons and Escalades that consume fuel like hogs. Cheap fuel is like cheap corn and high prices for either will cure those high prices. And niether is a "right". m2c
