That is the exact position I am in. I started "farming" in 2008 and a lot has changed for me in 7 short years. My Dad and I are halfway through the farm transition process and I have bought a couple pieces of equipment and a small piece of land. Long story short, I have taken on a decent amount of debt the last 3 years to make this happen and my equity is low. I've been conservative with my spending and have focused on high ROI. You wont see me at anyones retirement sale any time soon, but I may see you at my "retirement" sale!
