western iowa
I have fed black (Angus cross) cattle from the west and the southeast. It is my opinion that the western cattle get culled more aggressively for disposition. You can't tell me they get a ton of people time out west with the miles they cover. But they come in quiet and don't test the fences or try to kill me running them through the chute. They're just plain quiet. That has been my observation. I was hoping some SD cow guys would chime in.
