My question is, What is the heritability of disposition? I have had black cattle all my life, and I know some are more high strung than others, but if you can cull the leaders (high headed) the rest of the herd will calm down very quick. Most breeds have (or have had in the past) some cattle that are not very tame, but how much of it is inherited and how much is a learned trait. From growing up with a mother that is high headed. And, different parts of the country want different attitudes in their cattle.
