Subject: cattle prices, feed and alternative livestock?

south east Indiana
I have been wondering if anyone is thinking about alternative livestock with the prices and cattle and feed these days? Seems like every other thread is about good harvest and then high cattle prices across every sector making it a bit scary to buy much at these prices. I read the thread about a few guys going to raise a few hogs. Seems there are fewer and fewer smaller livestock operations around. Still quite a few hog operations in southern Indiana. A few smaller cow/calf and some small farmer feeders. Locally in the last year quite a barns built by the Amish to raise Holstein calves. Just wondering if anyone is thinking about sheep, goat ect.
