North of London | We have a couple.
Had one in the house and one in the barn after dial came in and telephone company sold the old ones cheap.
The one in the barn deteriorated but then got one from in-laws house when they moved out.
Think they also had a couple wired up between house and barn and the one in the house survived.
By the time we got them they had been updated with a standard hand piece so we do not have the old style with hand piece for listening and mouthpiece attached to the phone.
Will see if I can dig one out and take a picture of it one day to post.
As a side note we eventually had the phone company put a phone in the barn and shop too when we got single party phone line.
First dial phones still had party line of 5 parties which was better than the 11-12 we had before. | |
