Treynor IA | We had several on our party line. We had two ladies who would tie up the line for hours. I needed to get hold of the vet in a hurry one time so I asked very nicely if I could use the phone for a minute. You would have thought I had asked for their first born. They let me use it but they were very rude about it. Years later if you used the phone for so long it would shut off but they would just call each other back again. It was great when we got private lines. | |
