Grew up with it for years . Main problem for us was Dad worked shift work. He spliced in a switch to shut off the ringer while he was sleeping. Some one had to remember to turn the phone back on. I think every one had a neighbor that listened in on every call. We use to say Hi Elanore during a conversation and listen to her disconnect. steve
