I tried the tall skinny tires. All they did was cut deeper ruts. Need to be both taller and wider. The best tires I have found for the extreme conditions are the 18.4x26. Currently running 3 corners with them. For me the 14.9x24 work much better than 11.23x38's. 16.9x24 tires are only a few dollars more than 11.2x38's and have much more flotation. Running a set of them on a corner now that I like. The tire manuals list the flat plate contact area. More is better.
