Absolutely!  The study on highest returns is what really brought that home for me.  If the highest return was just selling fat cattle for cash, why would anyone mess around with all the other marketing and hedging stuff???  Well, because everyone's situation is different and there aren't too many people that want to endure the lows of the cash market.
