NW Washington | I think it is a matter of what you want the space to look like. Personally I so not like to see beds of stone so I would go for mulch. Wood chips are another option, chips like those the tree trimmers make. I hate landscaping fabric because it fouls up water flow through the mulch and into the soil and after a few years you end up with a mat of roots right under the fabric. | |
