SW Wisconsin | My wife wants to do some landscaping in our front yard. She intends on planting bushes and flower and a few ornaments and is having trouble making up her mind whether to use rock or mulch. She has been told that rock close to plants can heat up and burn the bottom of the plant and others have told her that mulch invites bugs. Rocks seem like they would be a more permanent solution and wouldn't fade, is there any truth to the rocks heating up and hurting the plants? I live in the southwest corner of Wisconsin and this would be placed on the south side of our house. TIA for your input. | |
